Attracting More Clients with On Brand Social Media Content

Nickel Design has more than 30 years of creative experience creating everything from company logos, stationery and branded items to online social media graphics, corporate brand strategies and national marketing campaigns. 

Creative Director Mike Land and business partner Rich Mayneord wanted to engage the company’s target clients via social media. They wanted Nickel Design to become the go-to company in the South West for brand design, but didn’t have the time to create social media content in-house.

Mike says: “We’re busier now than we’ve ever been in the last few years. This year, we’ll be looking at doubling our turnover.”

He says that 100 Pound Social has been key in increasing engagement on LinkedIn: “the past 90 days, I’ve had 37,615 impression. That’s 25.2% up. You can see a definite spike throughout the month when the posts are published.”

Nickel Design’s posts are generating a positive reaction with an 8.7% increase in followers over the past 90 days alone.

According to Mike, the posts are “hitting the right kind of people, so it’s the owners, the founders, so the people that can influence the change. I’m being seen by the right people.”

Since working with 100 Pound Social, Mike says that every time he attends a networking event he receives comments such as, “you’re all over social media or I’ve seen you or read about you.”

With a focus on increasing local leads, Mike says it’s “very special” when an influential company mentions that they’ve seen Nickel Design on social media.

Mike has seen an impressive 20.9% increase in followers in Swindon, his local area. He says: “I’m definitely getting recognised and on my way to being the go to person in the area.”

“I can forget all about social media.”

“Even I look at my own posts and think ‘that’s good, I’m going to have to read that article now’.”
