Building Social Media Consistency Across Channels
Map Your Process work with SMEs to help them grow their business through better ways of working. They engage with clients to understand their pain points, then document and scope processes in an easy to understand map.
We chatted to John Stanton, Founder & Director of Map Your Process, about his experience working with 100 Pound Social.
Before working with us, the company were writing their own content. However, this was taking them more time than they could spare to produce, and the posting was consistently inconsistent!
Now they’re on our Posts Plan, with regular posts to the company’s LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook pages.
The Challenge
Finding Time for Social Media
The key problem for Map Your Process was finding the time for social media consistency.
John says,”We were writing our own stuff, but taking far too long to produce it. It was pretty inconsistent too. I had almost a kind of writer’s block. I pored over every single word, but it still didn’t sound quite right.”
“Even a simple LinkedIn post would take me an hour every time, at least.”
The company was looking for expert social media help, from a company they could trust. John says, “We did use another company in the past, and I had to delete quite a few posts – the tone was just wrong.”
“I liked how it says on the tin what you do. Reading through your website, I was impressed by what other people said. It was an easy decision to make to try and get that social media consistency.”
The Solution
Expert Help and a Consistent Posting Plan
Map Your Process signed up for our Posts Plan, featuring regular posts to the company’s Facebook, Company LinkedIn, and Twitter pages.
Every month, a dedicated Content Creator and Editor handcraft posts for the company’s social media accounts.
John says the Content Creator has done a good job getting the tone right.
“We never wanted the tone to be stuffy, it’s really easy in the consulting world to get bogged down in detail and jargon. We try to keep everything simple and accessible for businesses, and I think the tone reflects this, and in terms of the mix, the content is really good.”
John recalls the onboarding process was “very straightforward” and likes that the 100 Pound Social team and his Customer Success Manager are responsive and adaptable – “Stuff happens that you can’t account for, so I’ve always liked that really flexible approach.”
“It’s clear we’re getting the reach. Other people are seeing the posts and there’s value in it enough to follow.”
The Results
Hassle-Free, Social Media Consistency
Now, Map Your Process are building social media consistency on their chosen channels, and seeing a growing uptick in engagement.
Crucially, our Posts Plan has given John and the team their time back, John says, “It’s a huge time saver for us. But it’s not just the time, it’s that comfort the job has been done.
“The plan allows us to focus on our business. It’s easy to sit there and say you’ll do it yourself. But you can’t get away from the fundamental issue of not having enough time.”
“100 Pound Social takes that problem away from your list of worries. It just makes complete sense.”
“The fact I don’t have to think or worry about what’s going out speaks for itself in terms of value.”
